One of the best hotels for family holidays, Iberostar Selection Anthelia, is located on the Atlantic Ocean, 2 km from the centre of Playa de las Americas and 16 km from Tenerife Airport. The complex belongs to the Iberostar Hotels & Resorts hotel chain. It was built in 1999, and a complete renovation of the rooms was carried out in 2017.
The hotel has outdoor fresh and seawater swimming pools, tennis courts, and a beautiful spa, which offers a wide range of cosmetic and massage procedures.
Cheerful animators work throughout the day — they offer many entertainment and sports programmes and, in the evenings, organise theatre and dance shows.
Adults and children have a great rest here with great pleasure. For different age groups, there are selected entertainments according to their interests. There is a mini club for kids from 4 to 7 years old, older children visit Maxiclub, and teenagers have fun in Teenclub.
The children's pool has small slides, and the playground has a sandpit and swings. Children's animators organise circus shows and costume parties several times weekly and invite all kids to dance at the mini-disco.
Catering in Iberostar Hotel Anthelia deserves praise. The resort offers an all-inclusive concept. There is a children's table with porridge, pancakes, yoghurt, muesli and pastries; for lunch and dinner, vegetable side dishes, spaghetti, baked or fried meat, and fish are served.
The hotel rooms are modern and beautiful. Families with children can book adjoining standard rooms or two-storey suites. Upon arrival, the minibar is replenished with yoghurts, juices and biscuits for kids. All rooms have terraces and balconies offering panoramic views of the ocean, garden or hotel pools.
The nearest beach, Fanabe, can be reached in five minutes. It has been awarded the Blue Flag. The entrance to the sea is gentle and child-friendly. Umbrellas and sun loungers are available for a fee.
