This park has a rich history dating back to 1971 when the Schneider family purchased the Märchenwald Haßloch (Fairy Tale Forest) and transformed it into a thrilling amusement park. Over the decades, the park grew under the Schneider family's leadership, becoming the seventh-largest in Germany and introducing attractions such as the country's first Rapid River and Free Fall Tower.
In 2010, Plopsa, a subsidiary of Studio 100, acquired Holiday Park in Germany. Since then, the park has changed significantly, introducing characters from popular children's shows like Maya the Bee, Tabaluga, and Vic the Viking. Plopsa has also invested heavily in new attractions and infrastructure, including the Sky Scream roller coaster, the Dino Splash water ride, and the Viking village area with the Big Wave Disk'o Coaster and Wickie Splash log flume.
The Aquadrom Hockenheim is 21 km from the amusement park, which we also recommend to visit with children.
