AFSF’s Bilingual Summer Camp combines French-language immersion, academic review, artistic exploration, and playful afternoons — all in a child-friendly, nurturing environment. The camp accepts children from ages 4 years 9 months up to 12 years old, welcoming both beginners and those with some French background. Mornings focus on reinforcing academic skills (math, English) and introducing or strengthening French through writing, speaking, listening, and games.
Afternoons are a creative, culturally rich mix: kids watch short Francophone films, discuss them, then dive into arts-and-crafts inspired by famous Francophone artists. They round out the day with music, singing, and dancing — all in French. This blend of structured learning and free-spirited creative play makes the camp special. Kids build language skills, express themselves artistically, and soak up social and cultural knowledge — all while having fun. The inclusive, caring atmosphere helps children of various ages and backgrounds feel comfortable, confident, and engaged.
Whether your child is curious about French culture, loves arts and crafts, or enjoys a fun, enriching summer program, AFSF’s Bilingual Camp offers a unique balance of learning and play that many children thrive in.

Parents are responsible for providing lunch, snacks, and a water bottle for their child each day. The camp offers a morning snack for campers. Families are asked to note any special dietary needs in advance so the camp can help ensure a safe environment.
AFSF maintains a safe environment with structured check-in and pick-up procedures. Each child must be signed in and out by an authorized adult. Campers will not be released alone or to someone under 18. This policy helps ensure that only authorized adults handle arrival and departure — giving parents precise control and peace of mind. Camp staff supervise all activities and transitions carefully, and group sizes/age ranges are managed to keep the environment calm, caring, and well-organized.
AFSF’s Bilingual Summer Camp builds community and creative tradition every week. Each afternoon, the kids explore a new Francophone artist — learning about their life and style, then crafting their own inspired artwork. Other recurring rituals include watching short Francophone films with group discussion, singing French songs, and engaging in music and dance activities. These repeating but fresh experiences give campers a sense of belonging while stimulating creativity, language practice, and cultural awareness.
AFSF’s camp combines structured language study, creative arts, cultural exposure, and fun social activities — all in French. Mornings are devoted to reviewing math and English skills, and introducing or strengthening French through games, writing, speaking, and listening. Afternoons offer a more relaxed, playful atmosphere: children watch short Francophone films, discuss them, then explore the world of Francophone art by studying a different artist each day and creating their own masterpiece. The day ends with music, singing, and dance activities — a cheerful way to internalize language and cultural rhythms.
This balanced program combines academics, creativity, social interaction, and fun — ideal for kids who enjoy exploring, creating and learning in a relaxed yet nurturing context.
