Be enrolled in grades 9–12 at one of the target area schools in Huntsville City or Madison County (e.g., Columbia High, Lee High, Jemison High). Program Details Duration: Year-round (six-week summer residential program + 20 Saturdays during the academic year) Location: Alabama A&M University Campus Cost: Free (room and board provided; stipends awarded) Target Area Schools: Includes Columbia High School, Lee High School, Jemison High School, Buckhorn High School, Hazel Green High School, Sparkman High School, and others. How to Apply Interested students must submit a completed application packet that includes: Personal information and family income verification Official school transcript Two teacher evaluations One recommendation letter from a principal or counselor A 150-word essay explaining their interest in the program, educational goals, and career aspirations Applications can be submitted via mail or email to the Alabama A&M TRIO-Upward Bound office.
