Camp programs at the Aquarium of the Pacific are built around experiential learning, using the aquarium’s exhibits, animals, and educators to spark curiosity about the ocean and the natural world. The atmosphere is educational yet playful, encouraging campers to ask questions, observe closely, and engage directly with marine science concepts through hands-on activities and guided exploration.
Programs typically focus on themes such as ocean ecosystems, animal adaptations, conservation, and environmental responsibility. Campers participate in age-appropriate lessons that blend science, creativity, and movement, ensuring learning remains engaging throughout the day. Activities are designed to complement what children see in the exhibits, helping them make real connections between lessons and the living animals around them.
These camps are best suited for elementary- and middle-school–aged children who enjoy science, animals, and discovery-based learning. Younger campers benefit from structured exploration and interactive play, while older campers are challenged with deeper discussions and problem-solving activities related to marine biology and conservation. The combination of expert educators, a unique learning environment, and immersive content makes the Aquarium of the Pacific’s camp programs especially appealing to curious, nature-loving kids.
