ATOS Kids Camps are martial arts day camps for children ages 5 to 14. The camps are designed for all skill levels, from first-time beginners to young athletes who want to sharpen competition skills. The summer camp lineup includes a Wrestling Camp week and a Jiu-Jitsu Camp week, giving children a clear training focus while still keeping the experience fun and social.
The camp atmosphere is active, disciplined, and encouraging. Campers train with experienced Jiu-Jitsu world champions and practitioners who enjoy teaching children. The program includes Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling, self-defense, takedowns from wrestling and judo, modern grappling techniques, games, teamwork, and confidence-building activities.
This camp is best for children who are ready for a structured physical environment. Kids who like movement, partner drills, mat work, martial arts, and coach-led challenges will likely feel engaged. Beginners can use camp as an introduction to Jiu-Jitsu and self-defense, while more experienced students can refine technique and deepen their understanding.
ATOS also connects martial arts with character development. Campers work on discipline, teamwork, conflict-resolution strategies, self-confidence, and respect. The camp is not just about learning moves. It is about learning how to stay calm, focused, and capable while having fun with other kids.

ATOS Kids Camps are day camps. Campers attend training during the day and return home afterward. The program is held at the ATOS Jiu-Jitsu Academy in San Diego, with daily training running from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The camp does not include overnight lodging, cabins, dorm rooms, or residential supervision. Families should plan daily transportation and use the academy’s arrival and pick-up routine for each camp day.
Early drop-off is available at 8:00 a.m. for families who need a longer morning window. This add-on gives children an earlier arrival option before the main training day begins.
The camp takes place inside a martial arts academy, so the day is built around mat-based training, instructor-led practice, games, and structured movement. Campers should arrive prepared for a full day of physical activity, with the items requested by the academy.
Lunch is provided for all campers. The camp describes it as a healthy lunch, which helps children refuel during a physically active training day.
Campers should also bring a water bottle and a healthy snack. That is important because the day includes Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling, self-defense training, takedowns, grappling, games, and other movement-based activities. Children will need water and enough energy to stay focused and comfortable through the afternoon.
Families with dietary restrictions or allergies should tell the academy in advance so the camp can accommodate the child’s needs. This is especially important because lunch is part of the camp day.
The meal setup is simple and practical: campers train, take breaks, eat lunch, hydrate, and return to training. For children who are new to martial arts camps, parents should also make sure breakfast is handled before arrival so the child starts the day ready to move.
ATOS presents camper safety as a top priority. Instructors are certified, experienced, and background checked. The camp also follows health and safety guidelines, including regular cleaning of the facility and equipment.
The training environment is structured around coach supervision. Campers practice Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling, self-defense, takedowns, and grappling techniques with instructors who understand both martial arts and children’s learning needs. This matters because the camp includes close-contact movement and partner-based practice.
The camp welcomes beginners as well as children with Jiu-Jitsu experience. Instructors tailor training to each child’s skill level, which helps new campers learn at a manageable pace while giving experienced students room to grow.
Parents may stay and watch sessions from a designated viewing area. This gives families a way to observe the camp environment and see how their child is progressing on the mat.
ATOS Kids Camps focus on martial arts training, self-defense, and personal development. Campers learn Jiu-Jitsu and wrestling from experienced instructors, with training adjusted for beginners and more experienced students. The program includes self-defense skills, wrestling and judo takedowns, modern grappling techniques, games, teamwork, and discipline-building. The goal is to help children become more confident, active, and capable while enjoying time with other campers.
