Accommodation
San Diego Gymnastics & Parkour Grossmont Center is a day camp. Overnight accommodation is not included.
Campers come for the scheduled camp day and leave afterward. The official camp website does not list residential housing, dorm rooms, hotel arrangements, or overnight supervision. Families coming from outside the area need to arrange lodging and transportation on their own.
The day-camp format keeps the experience focused on movement, coaching, and supervised play in the gym. It is most practical for local families or families already staying nearby. Since camp enrollment is full-week only, parents should plan for a consistent weekday schedule rather than occasional drop-in attendance.
Meals
Campers should bring an allergen-friendly lunch each day. Food service is not listed as part of the camp.
Because the day includes gymnastics, parkour, open gym, outdoor play, and games, children should also have enough water for an active schedule. Parents may want to pack snacks as well, especially for younger campers or kids who need extra fuel after physical activity.
The allergen-friendly lunch note is important. Families should avoid sending foods that could create avoidable allergy risks in a group setting. Lunch should be easy to open, easy to eat, and practical for a busy camp day.
Safety
San Diego Gymnastics & Parkour states that safety is its top priority. Classes follow small ratios, with no more than 8 students per instructor. Coaches are USAG-certified, with background screening, Safety and Risk Management, SafeSport, and basic gymnastics instruction training.
The Grossmont Center team also includes American Parkour Instructors. Coaches are CPR- and First Aid-certified and have experience working with children. The facility is regularly sanitized and maintained, with clean spaces, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, comfortable lobby seating, and staffed front-desk support.
The program’s structure matters because campers are doing movement-based activities. Gymnastics, parkour, and obstacle training require coaching, clear rules, and age-appropriate progressions. The camp setting gives kids room to be active while still working under supervision.
