Stepping into the realm of C5, a beacon of hope for the youth nestled in Southern California, is like embarking on a journey of empowerment and personal growth. This camp is more than just a summer retreat; it’s a launch pad for youngsters from economically disadvantaged and risk-laden backgrounds, helping them to soar high and land smoothly into the world of college and career.Aiming to unlock the untapped potential within these young minds, C5 meticulously crafts a five-year program filled with intensive leadership experiences. From year-round leadership development programs to career preparation, C5 offers a robust platform for personal success. A standout feature is their signature summer activities, where campers dive into community service while enjoying the great outdoors.However, the most challenging aspect of C5 might not be the rigorous programs, but the selection of its participants. With a pool of roughly 200 high-potential seventh-graders nominated each year, C5 painstakingly chooses a diverse group of 72 students.
