Whether your child is a beginner or has some riding experience, this camp is designed to help them develop their horseback riding skills, learn about horse care, and build confidence in a fun, supportive environment. At Chestnut Lane, campers will spend their days learning the fundamentals of riding and horsemanship. Mornings are filled with hands-on activities like brushing, tacking, and caring for the horses. Campers will also have the chance to ride twice a day—once in the morning for skill-building lessons and again in the afternoon for fun rides or games on horseback. With small group sizes and personalized instruction, every rider gets the attention they need to grow their skills. Safety is a top priority at Chestnut Lane. All campers are required to wear helmets (provided if needed) and long pants with closed-toe shoes while at the barn. The camp’s experienced staff ensures that every rider feels comfortable and confident around the horses.
