Accommodation
Gyminny Kids Summer Camp La Jolla is a day camp. Campers attend during the selected session and return home after camp. The program does not include overnight lodging, cabins, dorm rooms, or residential supervision.
Families can choose a morning half-day session, an afternoon half-day session, or a full-day schedule. Morning camp runs from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Afternoon camp runs from 1:15 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. Full-day camp runs from 9:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
The La Jolla location also offers early drop-off from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and late pick-up from 4:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. These options help extend the camp day when needed.
The camp takes place inside a gymnastics facility, so the day centers on indoor movement, equipment rotations, group play, crafts, and coach-led activities. Families should reserve camp at least 24 hours in advance.
Meals
Campers enjoy a snack provided by the gym. Children should also bring a snack and water bottle for their camp session. Full-day campers need lunch because they stay through the middle of the day.
Gyminny Kids La Jolla is a nut-free camp environment. Campers should not bring nut products to be considerate of children with allergies. This is important for both half-day and full-day campers, especially when children are eating snacks or lunch near other campers.
The camp day is active, so hydration matters. Campers may be bouncing, climbing, balancing, running through obstacle-style activities, using gymnastics equipment, playing games, or moving between stations. A water bottle should be packed and easy for the child to use.
For full-day campers, lunch should be simple, filling, and packed for a busy gym day. Children who eat well and stay hydrated will usually have an easier time staying comfortable during afternoon activities.
Safety
Gyminny Kids La Jolla emphasizes a structured, supervised gym environment. Staff members are background checked and CPR/First Aid certified. Coaches follow structured skill progressions and daily equipment checks in a clean, climate-controlled facility.
The camp uses group placement to help the day run smoothly. Campers are usually grouped by age and gender, then by full-day or half-day status. This supports smoother transitions between sessions and helps children stay with a group that fits their stage and schedule.
The gym setting is built for movement, but campers are expected to dress appropriately. Children should wear workout attire with no buttons or zippers. They participate barefoot, and long hair should be pulled back in a ponytail. These rules help children move more safely on equipment and mats.
Friend requests are considered when children are enrolled in the same camp session. This can help campers feel more comfortable while still maintaining the group's structure.
Camp traditions
Gyminny Kids La Jolla has a flexible camp style built around movement, themes, and repeatable gym fun. Campers can come for a single half day, a full day, or multiple sessions during summer and school closure periods. That makes camp feel easy to fit into a child’s schedule, not like an all-or-nothing commitment.
The Bungee Bouncer system is one of the camp’s signature experiences. Kids get a chance to jump, bounce, and move in a way that feels different from a standard gymnastics class. Bungees, obstacle courses, gym games, crafts, and Olympic apparatus give the day variety.
Summer weeks also follow themed sessions. The 2026 themes include Beach, Superhero, Pokémon, KPop Demon Hunters, Minecraft, Adventure & Critters, Ninja, Circus, and Disney. These themes add a playful layer to crafts, games, and the overall camp atmosphere.
The camp also supports friend and sibling grouping when possible, which helps turn camp into a playdate-style experience.
