Harvard-Westlake Summer: Basketball is a skill-focused day camp designed to help players strengthen fundamentals while enjoying a positive team atmosphere. Led by Coach David Rebibo and the Harvard-Westlake basketball coaching staff, the program emphasizes detailed instruction and consistent repetition in a supportive setting.
Campers work on core basketball skills, including ball-handling, passing, dribbling, shooting mechanics, rebounding, and footwork. Instruction also covers man-to-man offense and defense concepts, screens, cuts, and conditioning. Each day begins with dynamic warm-ups followed by structured drills that build technique and game awareness. Skill contests and controlled play add energy and excitement to the schedule.
Enrollment is intentionally limited to maintain a low coach-to-player ratio, allowing for personalized instruction and meaningful feedback. Campers may also have opportunities to interact with past and present Harvard-Westlake athletes, and special guest appearances may take place during the session.
The camp is especially well-suited for boys in grades 5–8 (ages 10–14) who are eager to improve their fundamentals in a disciplined environment. Younger players build strong habits, while more experienced middle school athletes refine technique and develop confidence in competitive play.

Harvard-Westlake Summer: Basketball operates as a day camp. Campers attend scheduled sessions during the day and return home each afternoon. There are no overnight accommodations.
The day format allows athletes to focus fully on skill development while maintaining their regular evening routines. Families seeking structured, high-level sports instruction without a residential component will find this setup practical and convenient.
All drills and activities are supervised by the Harvard-Westlake coaching staff. Structured warm-ups and conditioning sessions help prepare athletes physically before skill work begins.
Players are grouped appropriately to maintain balanced instruction and safe competition. Coaches emphasize proper footwork, spacing, and technique to support safe participation during drills and scrimmage-style play.
The controlled environment and limited enrollment help maintain attentive supervision throughout the camp day.
Each day follows a structured format designed to balance skill instruction with competitive fun. Campers begin with dynamic warm-ups that prepare them physically for activity. Coaches then lead focused drills on ball handling, passing accuracy, shooting mechanics, and footwork.
Offensive and defensive concepts are introduced and reinforced through repetition and small-group work. Campers practice man-to-man defense, offensive movement, screens, and cuts to build game understanding. Conditioning elements support overall athletic development.
Skill contests and competitive drills add excitement while allowing players to apply what they’ve learned. Personalized instruction is made possible through limited enrollment, giving coaches time to provide meaningful feedback.
