Players spend camp time working directly on the skills that make basketball feel more manageable in real games. Hoop HQ combines ball handling, shooting, passing, defense, rebounding, footwork, and basketball IQ with drills, games, scrimmages, and film study. The Fundamental Camp is built for ages 5 to 12 and welcomes different experience levels, giving younger players a structured place to learn core technique while still getting game-like repetitions. Players also see how individual technique connects with spacing, timing, and team play during live repetitions.
Families can choose shorter half-day formats or a longer full-day format for the fundamental program. Hoop HQ also publishes specialized camps that focus more deeply on point guard play, post play, elite defense, off-ball movement, and shooting. Club-level players can move into Ultimate Silver or Ultimate Gold, where specialty skill blocks are paired with an advanced PROJECT class; the Gold option also includes basketball-focused weight training and conditioning.
The experience stays centered on active practice rather than lectures alone. Coaches use personalized instruction, competitive situations, and skill-specific repetitions to connect technique with decision-making. Full-day campers may also take part in the supervised Hoop Hangout period, which uses mini-game scrimmages, reflex games, and a basketball arcade shooting competition for additional court time and team interaction.

The main Fundamental Camp blends instruction with active play. Campers work on dribbling, shooting, passing, defense, rebounding, footwork, and overall basketball IQ through specialized drills, personalized coaching, games, scrimmages, and film study. Half-day and full-day choices give families different lengths of court time, and single-day options may be offered within the fundamental program. The published structure keeps the emphasis on basketball-specific practice throughout the day.
Players who want a narrower focus can choose specialty camps. Point Guard sessions emphasize decision-making, ball handling, footwork, scoring, finishes, and game IQ. Low Block work develops post positioning, sealing, finishing through contact, pivoting, and footwork. Elite Defensive sessions focus on defensive footwork and individual and team awareness, while Off Ball sessions cover screens, positioning, passing options, and court awareness. Shooting sessions address mechanics, footwork, catch-and-shoot repetitions, shooting off the dribble and screens, finishing, and shot selection.
For club-level players, Ultimate Silver combines the daily specialty skill camp with the PROJECT Advanced Basketball Class, which adds basketball discussion, decision-making, speed, reaction, and competitive confidence. Ultimate Gold adds a basketball-focused weight-room and conditioning block before the specialty camp and advanced class.

A published trial-program page also says the facility does not use parent volunteers for coaching and describes its coaching team as veteran coaches with experience working with young athletes.
Camp and registration pages direct families to contact Hoop HQ with questions. The program also notes that families can reach out about registration details and practical camp questions before attending.
Camp pages ask families to arrive a few minutes early for the first day and to have campers wear comfortable sports or activity clothing with tennis or basketball shoes. Campers should have snacks or water bottles on hand. Parents are instructed to pick up students inside the building at dismissal.
Fundamental Camp registration uses separate single-day and full-week choices, with half-day and full-day formats offered according to the selected session.
