Safety is embedded in iD Tech’s program structure. The camp runs on a university campus with secure access points, monitored facilities, and staff trained to lead youth tech programs. According to the UCI partner’s youth camp handbook, staff-to-camper ratios are maintained (for example, 1:8 or so for some youth programs), medical and supervision procedures are in place, and electronics policy and check-in/out routines are clearly defined. Staff undergo comprehensive background checks and receive specialized training sessions, ensuring a safe environment for learning and exploration.
iD Tech’s program at UCI offers a framework where campers dive into one major focus (like game design, app development, AI, or robotics) while also participating in supportive workshops, team projects, and creative challenges. Each week is structured with instruction, hands-on time, peer collaboration and a culminating project or showcase. The environment is designed for motivated learners who enjoy tech, teamwork and stretching their skills in a summer camp setting.
Session lengths, day vs overnight formats and refund policies vary by year and course; families should check specific registration terms for the UCI site.
