Accommodation
Master’s University Engineering Summer Camp is a day program held on the university campus. Students spend their time in real classrooms, labs, and collaborative workspaces used by engineering majors during the academic year.
The university setting adds depth to the experience. Campers aren’t working in a generic classroom. They’re stepping into a higher-education environment where future engineers are trained. Being on campus helps students picture themselves in that role. It feels serious, focused, and motivating.
The campus environment is structured and well-maintained, with clear supervision during all scheduled activities. Students move between instructional spaces as part of an organized daily schedule. There is no overnight lodging for this program. Families are responsible for drop-off and pick-up.
For teens considering engineering as a college path, spending a week learning inside a university setting can be both inspiring and clarifying.
Meals
Lunch is included and is typically provided by Café Bon Appétit, the university’s dining partner. Students also receive snacks and refreshments throughout the day.
Meals are generally served in a campus dining environment, giving campers a taste of student life. The dining service usually offers balanced options suitable for active learners.
If a student has dietary restrictions or food allergies, families should communicate those needs during registration to confirm available accommodations.
Built-in lunch and snack time allows students to recharge before returning to labs, design work, and competitions.
Safety
The Engineering Camp operates within a supervised university environment. All lab sessions and hands-on builds are guided by TMU faculty and trained staff.
Students receive clear instruction on tool safety and lab procedures before beginning projects. Equipment such as 3D printers and robotics materials is used under direct supervision. Structured schedules and defined workspaces help maintain organization and accountability.
Behavior expectations reflect university standards. Students are expected to act responsibly, collaborate respectfully, and follow instructions carefully.
Because the program takes place on campus, facilities are controlled and monitored throughout the day.
Health & Medicine
Families are required to provide medical information during registration, including allergies or conditions that may affect participation.
Students spend extended time engaged in classroom and lab activities. Staying hydrated and taking short breaks as needed is encouraged. Lunch and snack times are built into the daily schedule.
Emergency contact information is maintained on file, and university procedures guide response protocols if needed.
Camp Traditions
Master’s University has a strong academic and Christian heritage, and the Engineering Camp reflects that identity.
Like all programs at TMU, the camp is committed to Christ and Scripture. Students participate in Christian fellowship and devotions during the week. Engineering concepts are explored through the lens of Biblical truth, encouraging thoughtful reflection on innovation, stewardship, and purpose.
Team competitions and final project showcases are often highlights. Students demonstrate their builds, test their designs under pressure, and celebrate shared accomplishments.
For many participants, the experience feels like becoming part of the university’s legacy — not just as campers, but as future engineers developing both skill and character.
