Nike Boys Lacrosse Camp offers a high-energy, development-focused lacrosse experience structured to help kids build skills, confidence, and love for the game. The camp is run under the umbrella of a well-established national sports-camp network, with coaches who bring experience and energy to each session. What makes this camp special is its balance: players receive structured training — fundamentals, position-specific drills, and game play — while still enjoying camp-style fun, camaraderie, and flexibility.
Campers are grouped by age and skill level, so younger or less experienced boys get a gentle but solid introduction to lacrosse basics (catching, throwing, footwork). At the same time, older or more advanced kids can work on shooting, defensive positioning, and scrimmage play. The coaching ratio on the field (roughly 10 campers per instructor) helps ensure that each child receives attention, feedback, and a chance to learn at his own pace. Because of this, the camp works well for boys roughly aged 7 to 13 who want either their first lacrosse exposure or a focused week to sharpen their skills.
Relying on experienced coaches and a structured — but friendly — approach, the camp aims to leave each camper more skilled, more confident, and more excited about lacrosse.

Safety and proper supervision are embedded in the camp’s structure. Campers are divided into relatively small teams, typically with about 10 campers per instructor during on-field drills, which enables coaches to give proper guidance and monitor technique closely. Drills emphasize fundamentals, control, and safe play to reduce the risk of injury.
Because the program runs on school-camp facilities, activities take place on maintained fields with appropriate lacrosse gear requirements. Coaches manage rotations, rest breaks, and water/snack breaks as needed. The camp enforces proper equipment use (helmets, pads, sticks) and monitors weather and play conditions, helping ensure that kids practice and play under safe conditions.
While the camp runs as a seasonal sports clinic rather than a multi-week sleepaway camp, it does incorporate traditions to foster team spirit and a sense of belonging. Each day starts with warm-ups and ends with drills and scrimmages, giving campers rhythm and structure. Coaches encourage sportsmanship, improvement, and personal bests — rewarding effort, hustle, and attitude as much as skill.
Players often receive a reversible practice jersey as part of their enrollment, and recognition is given for outstanding play, improvement, and sportsmanship. These small rituals — team jerseys, praise, friendly competition — help create a sense of community, belonging, and pride among campers, even in a short time.
Nike Lacrosse Camp at Redwood High School combines quality lacrosse training with fun and games to give each camper a well-rounded experience. Each day starts with warm-ups and stick-skills drills — passing, catching, footwork — then moves into position work, shooting drills, and defensive/offensive fundamentals. As campers progress through the week, they apply those skills in structured scrimmages and friendly games, giving them real-game experience in a supportive environment. Coaches provide feedback and encouragement, helping each camper grow at his own pace. The program balances skill development with fun, teamwork, and respect so that kids improve while having a great time.
Camp sessions run as day or half-day sessions; there is no overnight stay.
Campers must bring their own protective and field gear as required.
Parents are responsible for ensuring campers arrive and depart on time, as there is no boarding or overnight supervision.
