Nike Softball Camp at Azusa Pacific University is designed for players seeking structured training in a college-style environment. The camp focuses on developing core softball skills such as hitting, fielding, throwing, and base running. Coaches emphasize technique, consistency, and game awareness, helping athletes improve in every area of play.
The atmosphere is supportive but challenging. Campers are encouraged to push themselves while learning from experienced coaches, often including college-level staff. Instruction is broken down into drills, position-specific work, and controlled game situations. This allows players to apply what they learn in real time.
This camp is best suited for players ages 6 to 16 who are interested in softball, at beginner to more advanced levels. Younger players benefit from strong fundamentals and repetition, while older athletes gain a deeper understanding of strategy and gameplay. The structured format works especially well for kids who enjoy organized sports and clear progress.
What makes this camp stand out is its balance between instruction and gameplay. Campers don’t just practice — they compete, adjust, and grow throughout the experience.

Nike Softball Camp at Azusa Pacific University is a day camp only and does not offer overnight stays. Campers can choose between half-day and full-day schedules, depending on their level of interest and stamina.
The half-day option is a good fit for younger players or beginners who are building skills and may prefer shorter sessions. The full-day program provides a more immersive experience, allowing campers to spend additional time on drills, gameplay, and skill development.
Each day is structured with clear start and end times, along with scheduled breaks to rest and recharge. Campers return home after their sessions, making it a convenient option for local families or those staying nearby.
This format allows kids to get high-quality training while maintaining a familiar daily routine outside of camp.
A central tradition at Nike Softball Camp is the focus on daily improvement and competition. Each day builds on the previous one, with campers tracking progress in their skills and performance.
Scrimmage games are a key part of the experience. These games give players the chance to apply what they’ve learned in a realistic setting. Friendly competition creates excitement and encourages teamwork.
Another important element is the coach feedback culture. Campers receive consistent feedback on their technique and decision-making, helping them adjust quickly.
Many sessions also include recognition moments, where effort, improvement, and sportsmanship are acknowledged. These small celebrations motivate campers and build confidence.
For overnight campers, evening activities help strengthen bonds between players. This sense of community often becomes one of the most memorable parts of the camp experience.
Nike Softball Camp delivers a structured, skill-focused training program designed to improve all aspects of a player’s game. Each day combines technical instruction with competitive play, allowing athletes to practice and apply new skills immediately. Campers rotate through drills, position training, and scrimmages. Coaches provide direct feedback to help players refine their technique. The program balances repetition with game-like situations to support steady improvement.
Campers are grouped by ability, age, and experience, per the Director's discretion.
