Young musicians spend the week rehearsing as a band, building a set of songs they enjoy, and preparing to share that music in a live performance. The summer program is built around group playing rather than isolated practice, so campers work on listening, timing, transitions, and the practical habits that help a band play together. The program serves musicians ages 7–17, and Rockademy notes that basic proficiency on an instrument is expected.
Camp runs on weekdays from morning through early afternoon. Guitar and bass players, pianists and keyboard players, drummers, singers, ukulele players, and students who play other band instruments can all identify their experience during signup. Vocal participation is also encouraged, including backup singing when a song needs it.
Performance preparation is a central part of the experience. Coaching can include stage presence, showmanship, staging, setting up and moving gear, moving smoothly from one song to the next, and handling unexpected technical problems. Each camp week leads to a live performance for family and friends, giving campers a clear project to work toward together. The result is a focused music week for kids and teens who want to rehearse with peers, strengthen ensemble skills, and experience what it takes to move from practice room to stage.

The summer camp is organized as a one-week rock-band experience. Campers meet Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, rehearse with other students, and work toward a live performance connected to that week. Rockademy’s band program is designed for ages 7–17 and states that basic instrument proficiency is required, with private lessons available separately for students who want preparation before joining a band.
Within the band format, students create and learn a set of favorite songs together. Signup asks about experience and instruments such as guitar or bass, piano or keyboard, drums, ukulele, singing, and other band instruments. Musicians are also encouraged to contribute backup vocals when needed, so participation can extend beyond a single instrument part.
Coaching goes beyond learning notes. Rockademy works with students on stage presence, showmanship, staging, loading and unloading gear, setting up equipment, song-to-song transitions, and responding to unexpected technical difficulties. Those practical performance skills support the week’s final goal: playing the prepared set for family and friends. The structure gives campers repeated time to rehearse as an ensemble, make musical decisions with peers, and practice the routines that turn individual parts into a coordinated live set.
Summer signup asks families to provide an emergency contact, an emergency medical contact, a physician name and number, and information about medical conditions, allergies, and medications. The participation release also authorizes counselors to obtain medical care when a parent or guardian is not available to grant authorization for emergency treatment.
Rockademy describes its team as professional musicians who use a structured, practical approach to teaching music. In the band program, their collective professional experience is used to coach students on stage presence, showmanship, staging, gear setup, song transitions, and handling unexpected technical difficulties during performance preparation.
Families select the camp week or weeks of interest through the summer signup form and provide the student’s date of birth, music experience, instruments played, parent or guardian contact details, and emergency and medical contacts. The camp runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Rockademy states that camp payments are processed onsite at the facility.
Rockademy lists different weekly tuition rates for current students and non-Rockademy students. Camp payments are processed onsite at the facility rather than through the online signup form.
