Accommodation
Steve & Kate’s Camp Torrance is a day camp only and does not offer overnight accommodations. Campers attend during the day and return home each afternoon.
The day-camp format supports the program’s flexible philosophy, allowing kids to enjoy a full range of activities while maintaining familiar routines at home. Campers can arrive and leave according to the camp’s established procedures, making it easier for families to fit camp into their schedules.
This setup works well for families seeking a creative, low-pressure camp experience without residential or overnight components.
Meals
Steve & Kate’s Camp provides lunch and snacks for campers as part of the daily program. Meals are available on-site, so kids can refuel without bringing food from home.
Food service is designed to be convenient and supportive of the camp’s flexible structure, giving campers the freedom to eat when they’re ready rather than at a single rigid time. Families are encouraged to communicate any dietary needs or allergies so staff can help support a safe experience.
Safety
Safety at Steve & Kate’s Camp Torrance is built into both the environment and the program philosophy. Campers are supervised at all times by trained staff who monitor activity areas and provide guidance when needed.
The open-layout approach allows staff to observe campers easily while still giving kids space to explore independently. Clear expectations around behavior and movement help maintain a safe, respectful environment.
Emotional safety is also a priority. Campers are encouraged to express themselves, take breaks, and opt out of activities, which helps reduce stress and promotes well-being throughout the day.
