The Wave Waterpark Splash Camps is a lively day camp for children who enjoy swimming, water activities, and active outdoor fun. The program takes place at a full-size waterpark, giving participants access to several attractions during their camp experience. Instead of traditional classroom sessions, the focus is on movement, recreation, swimming, and enjoying the water in a supervised group setting.
The main camp is designed for ages 7–15, making it a good fit for elementary and middle school students who are confident around water. Campers must be able to swim one pool length without assistance. Those who cannot meet this requirement must wear a life jacket provided by The Wave during water activities.
Each camp session has its own theme, with options such as Hollywood, Rock of Ages, Endless Summer, Summer Olympics, and Pirate Week. These themes add variety and give each session its own character. The available attractions include the El Rio Loco river, Riptide Slide, four Slide Tower slides, and the Competition Pool. The FlowRider is not available for the current camp program.
Older participants ages 12–15 can also choose the Counselor in Training program, which offers a different experience for those interested in taking on additional responsibility. Overall, Splash Camp is best suited to energetic children who would happily spend a large part of their day in and around the water.

The Wave Waterpark Splash Camps are day camps, so campers do not stay overnight. Participants attend the program during the scheduled daytime hours and return home after pickup.
This format works well for families looking for an active summer program without a residential component. Children spend the camp day at the waterpark, then have their evenings at home.
An optional Stay and Play arrangement allows campers to remain in the park after the supervised camp period ends. However, this is an important distinction: once a child has been checked out of camp, camp staff no longer supervise them directly. Families should therefore consider this option only when the child is ready to remain in the park independently under the stated conditions.
Lunch is not included in the camp fee. Families can send a sack lunch with their camper, or children can purchase lunch from the available food service. Campers may also bring money for the snack bar.
The camp recommends bringing a labeled water bottle, which is especially useful during a physically active day spent in the sun and water. Families can also pack snacks if their child needs something between activities.
Because meals are not provided as part of the program, parents can decide what food best suits their child's preferences and dietary needs. Campers should have enough food and water to stay comfortable and energized throughout the day.
Water safety is an important part of the Splash Camp requirements. All campers must be able to swim one full pool length without assistance. If a camper cannot meet this requirement, The Wave requires them to wear a life jacket provided by the waterpark during all water activities.
Campers attend the program under staff supervision during the scheduled camp period. Check-in and pickup take place at designated times and locations, helping staff manage arrivals and departures.
Families should pay particular attention to the Stay and Play policy. After a camper is checked out at the end of camp, camp personnel no longer supervise the child. The waterpark specifically states that it is not responsible for children who leave the park unattended.
The program may continue in rain and mild weather, although the waterpark reserves the right to cancel a program for qualifying circumstances.
Splash Camp centers on waterpark recreation and active play rather than formal academic instruction. Campers spend their scheduled camp hours enjoying the available attractions and participating in activities organized around the week's theme. The program offers a mix of swimming, water play, slides, and time with other campers in a lively group environment.
The Competition Pool provides space for swimming, splashing, and floating, while the El Rio Loco offers a more relaxed water experience. Campers can also enjoy the Riptide Slide and the four slides in the Slide Tower, subject to the attraction requirements. The waterpark's current information specifies that the FlowRider is not available.
Weekly themes add a playful element to the program, with campers experiencing different concepts throughout the summer. Older participants can also choose the Counselor in Training option, available for ages 12–15.
Campers must meet the stated age requirements and swimming requirements. The main Splash Camp is for ages 7–15, while the Counselor in Training option is for ages 12–15.
Families should also note that Stay and Play is not supervised by camp staff after checkout. Cancellation and transfer policies have specific deadlines and fees. If The Wave cancels a program, participants are eligible for a full refund under the stated policy.
