Hotel Playa Sol is in the cosy town of Cadaques, famous for its picturesque coves, clean beach, white-washed houses and hilly narrow streets. There is an outdoor swimming pool, Jacuzzi, tennis court, and bicycle hire for all guests. The beach with crystal clear water and fine sand is a two-minute walk away.
The Playa Sol offers 49 rooms, including triple and quadruple rooms, which families with children usually book. All rooms have balconies or terraces. Cots are provided free of charge for babies under the age of two.
The price includes a buffet breakfast with a typical continental menu. However, it does not have the usual milk porridge for children but instead offers yoghurt, cereals, muesli, flavoured pastries, fruit, cheeses, sausage and egg dishes. The a la carte restaurant is open from October to December. If guests want to eat elsewhere, many good restaurants, snack bars and cafés are nearby.
Not far from Hotel Playa Sol, in Port Lligat Bay, is the Salvador Dalí House Museum, where the future artist spent his childhood years. In the museum, you can see a workshop, a bird room with carved cages for canaries, the luxurious bedroom of Salvador and his wife Gala, a library and many other exciting exhibits.
Due to its close location to the sea, good service, and polite staff, we recommend this hotel for family holidays.
