In partnership with Malibu Makos Surf Club, campers can catch waves and learn from some of Southern California’s best surf instructors. Whether you’re just starting out or perfecting your turns, small group lessons ensure personalized coaching, safety, and plenty of fun in the sun.
On land, take your game to the next level with soccer and tennis programs led by experienced coaches and Nike Tennis professionals. Campers train on top-quality collegiate fields and courts, honing skills like precision, balance, and strategy through supportive, small-group instruction.

At ACA, the safety and well-being of every student are our top priorities. We maintain a 10-to-1 student-to-staff ratio — one of the lowest in the industry — to ensure each student receives the individual attention and personalized support they deserve.
As part of our safety commitment, ACA staff members live on the same floors as students and accompany them on all activities and excursions. For all weekday activities and weekend adventure trips, we use only private transportation — never public transit — to provide the highest level of safety and comfort.
Campers live on the scenic campus of Pepperdine University in Malibu, housed in modern residence halls with ensuite (private) bathrooms. Rooms are typically shared (two students per room) and grouped in suites of four or six.
Students complete a roommate questionnaire and may choose to room with a friend if desired. Facilities include air conditioning, housekeeping, laundry service access, and dedicated staff living on student floors for supervision and support.
The camp’s tuition includes a full board meal plan: breakfast, lunch, and dinner on weekdays, and brunch plus dinner on weekends. Dining takes place on-campus in a dedicated dining facility offering a wide selection of fresh entrees, salads, fruits, vegetables, side dishes, beverages, desserts, and freshly-baked goods.
On weekends or certain weeknights, campers may participate in the “Dining-on-the-Town” plan — an option to dine out at ACA-selected local restaurants included in the tuition. Special dietary needs and picky eaters are accommodated when notified in advance.
The campus is a gated community with a guard booth and is patrolled 24/7.
Beyond athletic training, ACA Summer Malibu Sports Camp offers a vibrant leisure program designed to help campers relax, explore, and enjoy everything Southern California has to offer. Set against the stunning backdrop of Malibu’s coastline, students spend their afternoons and evenings taking part in fun, social, and cultural activities that make every day a new adventure. From exploring local landmarks to enjoying the beach and the arts, each experience builds friendships and unforgettable memories.
Campers can choose from a variety of outings and events that balance recreation, creativity, and California sunshine. Whether discovering the local surf culture, shopping in Santa Monica, or celebrating at a camp-wide barbecue, there’s always something exciting on the schedule.
