Malibu Water Polo Camp provides focused training for young athletes who want to improve their water polo skills while training in a supportive team environment. The camp blends technical instruction with game play to help campers strengthen both their individual abilities and their understanding of the sport.
Throughout the program, campers practice key water polo techniques such as ball handling, passing, shooting, defensive positioning, and offensive strategy. Coaches guide players through drills that help build proper technique and confidence in the water. Training sessions often combine skill development with competitive scrimmages so campers can apply what they learn during real game situations.
The atmosphere is energetic and team-oriented. Players work closely with coaches and teammates while learning the importance of communication and teamwork in the pool. Campers are encouraged to challenge themselves, try new skills, and support one another during training.
Malibu Water Polo Camp is especially well suited for middle school and high school athletes who already have strong swimming skills and want to improve their water polo performance. Younger players interested in learning the fundamentals of the sport may also benefit from the program.
By the end of the camp session, many campers leave with improved technical skills, stronger conditioning, and a deeper appreciation for the strategy and teamwork involved in water polo.

Malibu Water Polo Camp primarily operates as a day camp, but it also offers a Summer Weekend Overnight option for athletes who want a more immersive training experience.
Day campers attend daily training sessions and return home at the end of the program each day. This option works well for local participants who want focused instruction while maintaining their regular evening routines.
The Summer Weekend Overnight program allows campers to stay on campus for a short residential experience. Athletes participate in extended training sessions, team activities, and additional time with coaches and teammates. The overnight format creates a strong sense of team bonding while allowing campers to fully focus on their development in the sport.
Residential campers stay in supervised accommodations and participate in structured evening activities when not in the pool. This format gives athletes a taste of collegiate-style training while building friendships with fellow players.
Malibu Water Polo Camp focuses on developing strong fundamentals and improving overall performance in the pool. Each day typically begins with warm-up exercises that prepare athletes for training sessions.
Campers participate in drills designed to improve key water polo skills such as passing, shooting, and ball control. Coaches demonstrate proper techniques and guide players through repetition-based practice.
Swimming and conditioning exercises are also incorporated into the program to help athletes build endurance and strength in the water. These workouts help players maintain speed and stamina during gameplay.
Defensive positioning and offensive strategies are practiced during skill drills and team exercises. Campers learn how to move effectively in the water, communicate with teammates, and make quick decisions during matches.
