Overview

Tech Revolution STEM Summer Camps at Crossroads School offer a dynamic introduction to today’s most in-demand technology skills. The atmosphere is upbeat, structured, and creativity-driven, blending clear instruction with plenty of room to explore ideas. Campers learn by doing—building projects, solving problems, and experimenting with technology in a supportive group setting.

The program covers a wide range of STEM topics, giving students the chance to explore different interests rather than focusing on just one area. Activities are designed to be age-appropriate and offered at multiple levels, so beginners feel comfortable while more experienced campers stay challenged. Instructors guide campers closely, helping them develop confidence, logical thinking, and independence as learners.

This camp is best suited for elementary and middle school–aged students who enjoy technology, building, or creative problem-solving. No prior experience is required. Younger campers benefit from clear structure and hands-on discovery, while older campers dive deeper into design, logic, and technical execution. Hosting the program at Crossroads School for Arts & Sciences adds a creative, interdisciplinary feel that aligns well with innovation and exploration, making the camp both inspiring and approachable.

Accommodation and Meals

Accommodation

Tech Revolution STEM Summer Camps at Crossroads School are offered as a day camp. Overnight accommodations are not part of the program. Campers attend daily sessions on the grounds of Crossroads School for Arts & Sciences and return home each afternoon. The school provides a thoughtfully designed educational environment with modern classrooms, creative learning spaces, and clear internal layout that works especially well for day programs.

Being based at a respected private school allows the camp to operate in a setting built specifically for students—comfortable, organized, and well suited for focused learning and hands-on activities throughout the day.

Meals

Families may choose the meal option that works best for their child. Campers are welcome to bring lunch and snacks from home, which is especially helpful for managing personal tastes or dietary needs. For added convenience, the camp also offers an optional catered lunch for an additional fee. This option is designed to be both tasty and nourishing, supporting campers through active, hands-on days.

Meal and snack times are thoughtfully spaced throughout the schedule, giving campers regular chances to refuel, take a break, and enjoy time with friends between sessions.

Safety

The program takes place within the established grounds of Crossroads School for Arts & Sciences, a well-known private school with clear routines and structured learning spaces. Campers are supervised throughout the day by trained staff, including during activities, breaks, and transitions. Organized check-in and pick-up procedures help keep each day running smoothly. Combined with low staff-to-camper ratios, this approach provides a setting where students are well supported while still encouraged to build confidence and independence.

Health & Medicine

As a day camp, the program is designed to support campers’ comfort and well-being throughout full days of learning and activity. Campers should be able to manage basic personal needs with age-appropriate independence. Trained staff are present on site during camp hours and are prepared to provide basic first aid when needed.

Families are encouraged to share relevant health information in advance, including allergies, medical conditions, or medication needs. The daily schedule includes regular opportunities for hydration, rest, and breaks from screens, helping campers stay comfortable, focused, and supported throughout the day.

Camp Traditions

Tech Revolution camps are operated by Lavner Education, a family-owned, founder-led organization built around long-term commitment to quality education and positive student experiences. Beyond individual sessions, campers become part of a broader Tech Revolution community—one that values curiosity, creativity, and growth through technology.

Participating in the program connects students to a learning legacy that continues beyond a single summer, helping them build skills, confidence, and interests that can shape future academic and career paths. Hosting the camp at Crossroads School for Arts & Sciences reinforces this sense of belonging to an established educational environment known for innovation and forward-thinking values.

Activities Program

The activities program is built around exploration, creation, and practical skill-building. Instead of focusing on a single subject, campers engage with multiple technology areas, allowing them to discover what excites them most while developing transferable STEM skills. Each activity is designed to feel purposeful, with clear outcomes and hands-on results.

Campers spend their time building, testing, and improving projects that strengthen logical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving. Coding activities help students understand how ideas turn into instructions and systems. Game design sessions encourage strategic thinking, storytelling, and user-focused design. Robotics and engineering challenges introduce real-world problem-solving, requiring campers to plan, prototype, and iterate. Creative technology sessions, such as digital art or 3D design, allow students to blend technical tools with imagination.

Activities are adapted by age and experience. Younger campers focus on core concepts through guided, confidence-building projects, while older campers tackle more complex challenges that require deeper reasoning and independence. Throughout the program, campers learn how to collaborate, troubleshoot, and present their ideas—skills that extend well beyond technology itself.

    • Coding fundamentals that build logical thinking
    • Block-based and text-based programming
    • Game design focused on mechanics and player experience
    • Roblox and Minecraft-based coding for applied learning
    • App development basics and digital problem-solving
    • Robotics challenges that introduce engineering concepts
    • Product design projects using 3D modeling and printing
    • Digital art and creative technology tools
    • Computational thinking and pattern recognition
    • Team-based STEM challenges and collaboration
    • Hands-on labs emphasizing experimentation
    • Final projects that campers can showcase and take home
