The LMU Intro to Entrepreneurship program begins with foundational lessons in identifying opportunity, designing solutions, and crafting value propositions. Students engage in teamwork as they conceptualize business ideas, map out business models, and prepare pitches that reflect creativity and market relevance. Through workshops and lectures, campers learn about market research, budgeting, marketing strategies, and leadership in the startup space. Field trips around Los Angeles expose participants to real-world entrepreneurial environments and give context to their work. At the program’s midpoint, teams refine their projects with feedback from mentors and alumni entrepreneurs, solidifying their concepts and pitches.
The journey culminates in a project presentation where participants showcase their business ideas to a panel of local entrepreneurs and receive recognition for their innovation. Throughout the program, students live on campus, immerse in college life, and build friendships with peers who share their drive. The experience not only develops business acumen but also fosters confidence, collaboration, and a readiness for future academic or startup endeavors.
