Summer at Lynch Dance Institute centers on focused dance training for a wide span of young dancers, from Little Movers ages 3 to 5 through junior and pre-professional intensives. Programs combine technical work with creative practice, using age- and level-appropriate formats rather than one schedule for everyone. Younger dancers have a short morning camp, while older participants can spend longer blocks developing ballet, choreography, jazz, lyrical work, musicality, variations, pointe foundations, or tap.
The Junior Dance Intensive includes a structured day with a dynamic warm-up, ballet, choreography, a Dancer Development Lab, and rotating dance styles. The lab adds power and strength development, ballet terminology, applying corrections, injury-prevention habits, and stage readiness. Pre-professional dancers can choose a more intensive ballet format led by Alexandra Dickson with guest faculty, while separate pointe/pre-pointe and tap options provide additional focused training.
The studio’s broader teaching approach pairs high expectations with individualized feedback, technical development, and attention to the whole dancer. Summer programming is designed to support both artistic and technical growth before the next season. This makes the program a fit for children who enjoy concentrated dance study, want to strengthen fundamentals, or are ready for more demanding pre-professional work in a studio setting.

The summer lineup is organized by age, experience, and training focus. Little Movers Camp serves ages 3 to 5 in a two-hour morning format. The Junior Dance Intensive serves ages 6 to 10 and runs a longer daytime schedule led by Alexandra Dickson with guest faculty. Its sample day begins with a dynamic warm-up, moves into ballet, includes a refuel-and-reset break, then continues with choreography, the Dancer Development Lab, and a final block that may include jazz, lyrical, music, or variations.
For dancers ages 11 and up, the Pre Professional Ballet Intensive offers a longer daily schedule and can be taken for up to three weeks. Separate Pointe and Pre Pointe Foundations sessions provide focused pointe preparation, while the Tap Intensive offers an experienced track and a foundations track on different weekly schedules. Private lessons with Alexandra Dickson are also available by arrangement.
Across the studio, instruction emphasizes deliberate technical development, individualized feedback, artistic growth, and age-appropriate learning. The summer program uses those same principles in concentrated formats designed to prepare dancers for the season ahead. Because the schedule and focus vary by program, families can choose the option that best matches a dancer’s age, experience, and training goals.

Summer programs list Alexandra Dickson as the leader for the Junior Dance Intensive and Pre Professional Ballet Intensive, working with guest faculty, while Courtney Kelly is listed for tap. Dickson’s official profile includes STOTT PILATES certification and continuing study in anatomy, movement science, motor learning, mental and physical wellness, and healthy dancer development. The faculty page also presents professional teaching and performance backgrounds across the studio team.
Parent communication is routed through the studio’s registration contact rather than directly to teachers. The faculty page states that parents do not contact teachers directly, and the FAQ directs teacher-related questions through the studio registration channel so classes can stay on schedule.
Registration is managed through the LDI Registration Portal, and the summer page directs families there to secure a spot. Private lessons are arranged through the studio’s registration contact. Program hours vary by option, from shorter morning sessions to longer daytime intensives and scheduled evening or Saturday tap blocks, so families can plan around the published hours for the program they select.
