San Diego Gymnastics & Parkour Rancho Bernardo Summer Camp is a seasonal day camp for children ages 4 and up. The program mixes gymnastics, parkour, open gym, outdoor play, games, and themed camp activities. It is designed for kids who enjoy movement and need a summer program that keeps them physically engaged.
The Rancho Bernardo location offers a state-of-the-art facility for gymnasts of different ages, abilities, and skill levels. The environment is active but structured. Campers work with experienced coaches, learn new skills, play with other children, and take part in daily activities that balance instruction and fun.
This camp can work well for beginners who are trying gymnastics or parkour for the first time. It can also support children who already take classes and want more practice during school breaks. Some athletes may use camp as a step toward more advanced gymnastics training through added skill development and conditioning.
The program is especially suited for kids who like jumping, balancing, climbing, running, flipping, and obstacle-based challenges. It is less ideal for children looking for a quiet arts-and-crafts-style camp, though the weekly themes add variety and imagination to the active schedule.

San Diego Gymnastics & Parkour Rancho Bernardo Summer Camp is a day camp. Overnight accommodation is not included.
Campers attend during the scheduled camp day and return home afterward. The official camp website does not describe dorms, residential supervision, hotel partnerships, or overnight care. Families traveling from outside the area need to arrange their own lodging and transportation.
This format works best for local families or families already staying in the San Diego area. The camp day is focused on gymnastics, parkour, open gym, outdoor play, games, and themed activities. Parents should plan daily drop-off and pickup according to the camp schedule.
Because the program requires full-week enrollment, families should be ready for a consistent weekly routine rather than occasional single-day attendance.
Campers need to bring an allergen-friendly lunch each day. Meal service is not listed as part of the camp program.
Because the camp includes gymnastics, parkour, games, open gym, and outdoor play, children should also bring enough water for an active day. A simple, easy-to-eat lunch during the break is the most practical option. Parents may also want to pack snacks, especially for younger campers or children who get hungry after physical activity.
The allergen-friendly lunch requirement is important. Families should avoid foods that may pose an allergy risk to other campers. The official camp website does not list a full food policy, but it clearly asks families to send campers with an allergen-friendly lunch.
San Diego Gymnastics & Parkour states that safety is its number one priority. The Rancho Bernardo location uses small class sizes, with no more than 8 students per instructor. Coaches are USAG certified, and that certification includes background screening, Safety and Risk Management, SafeSport, and basic gymnastics instruction courses.
The coaching team also includes American Parkour Instructors. Staff members are CPR- and First Aid-certified and have experience working with children. Some coaches have backgrounds as teachers, physical therapists, high school coaches, or university students.
The Rancho Bernardo facility is regularly sanitized and maintained. The gym also has clean facilities, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, comfortable lobby seating, and front-desk staff available to help families.
For camp, children participate in supervised gymnastics, parkour, open gym, games, and outdoor play under the supervision of experienced coaches.
San Diego Gymnastics & Parkour camps use weekly themes to keep the summer schedule fresh. Themes include Aloha Summer, Magic of Disney, Super Hero Quest, Dinosaur Adventure, Parkour, SDG’s Got Talent, Ninja Camp, Pirates & Princesses Voyage, Under the Sea, and Jungle.
These themes give each week a different identity while the core camp structure remains focused on movement, games, gymnastics, parkour, and play. For younger campers, the themes add imagination and make the week feel more playful. For older or more active campers, they add variety without taking away from the physical side of the program.
The Rancho Bernardo location also has a strong parkour and ninja focus. Children can explore obstacle-based movement that builds strength, coordination, balance, agility, confidence, and resilience.
The camp combines structured coaching with active play. Campers take part in gymnastics, parkour, open gym, outdoor play, games, and weekly themed activities. The program helps children learn new skills, make friends, build confidence, and stay physically active during school breaks. Some campers may also use the experience to develop skills and conditioning for future gymnastics or parkour training.
