Nike Malibu Swim Camp at Pepperdine University is designed to help young swimmers strengthen their technique, endurance, and overall performance in the water. The camp combines professional instruction with a supportive team environment where swimmers can focus on improving their skills.
Throughout the program, campers train in structured swim sessions that emphasize stroke development, starts, turns, and pacing. Coaches guide swimmers through drills and sets designed to improve efficiency and speed. Athletes receive feedback during practice so they can better understand how to refine their technique.
The camp environment is energetic and goal-oriented. Swimmers work alongside peers who share a passion for the sport, which creates a motivating training atmosphere. Daily practices help campers build stamina while also improving their understanding of competitive swimming strategies.
Nike Malibu Swim Camp is well suited for swimmers who already have basic swimming ability and want to improve their performance. Younger swimmers gain confidence and stronger fundamentals, while experienced swimmers can refine technique and sharpen race skills.
Training in a collegiate athletic setting adds to the experience. Many campers leave with improved skills, increased confidence in the water, and a deeper enthusiasm for competitive swimming.

Nike Malibu Swim Camp offers both overnight and day camp options.
Overnight campers stay in Pepperdine University residence halls, allowing participants to experience campus life while attending camp. Campers are typically housed with other swimmers of similar age, and residential staff supervise dorm areas to ensure a structured and safe living environment.
The residential setting encourages friendships among campers as they spend time together outside of swim practice. Staff members oversee evening activities and maintain supervision throughout the day and night.
For swimmers who prefer to return home in the evening, the camp also provides a day camp option. Day campers participate in the same swim training sessions and activities but leave after the scheduled daily program concludes.
This flexible format allows families to choose the option that best fits their camper’s needs and comfort level.
Overnight campers receive meals through the university dining facilities. Meals are designed to provide balanced nutrition that supports active training days in the pool.
Campers gather together in the dining hall, which also provides time to relax and socialize between swim sessions. These shared meals help build camaraderie among swimmers and contribute to the overall camp community experience.
Day campers may bring their own lunch or follow meal arrangements specified by the camp organizers.
Safety is an essential part of the Nike Malibu Swim Camp program. Swim practices are supervised by experienced coaches who monitor swimmers throughout all drills and training sessions.
Before entering the water, campers typically participate in warm-up exercises designed to prepare muscles and reduce the risk of injury. Coaches provide clear instructions during each practice set to ensure swimmers understand how to perform drills safely.
Swimmers are grouped by age and ability level whenever possible. This approach allows coaches to tailor workouts appropriately and maintain safe training conditions in the pool.
Residential staff supervise overnight campers in dormitory areas and during non-training activities to maintain a structured and secure environment.
Nike Malibu Swim Camp provides a structured training program designed to help swimmers improve technique, endurance, and race performance. Each day typically begins with warm-up exercises that prepare swimmers physically for the workout ahead.
Coaches guide campers through swim sets that focus on stroke development for freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. Drills help swimmers improve body position, breathing patterns, and efficiency in the water.
Starts and turns are also an important part of training. Swimmers practice explosive starts and streamlined turns that can make a significant difference in competitive races.
Conditioning sets help build stamina and speed. These workouts challenge swimmers while helping them develop endurance needed for longer races.
Practice races and timed sets allow swimmers to apply their training in realistic competition scenarios. Coaches provide feedback during these sessions so swimmers understand how to continue improving their performance.
The program combines technical instruction with challenging workouts to help swimmers become stronger, more confident athletes.
