Aerial Revolution Camp

Aerial Revolution Camp

San Diego, CA, USA

Overview

Camp days center on aerial and circus movement, with children practicing skills on multiple apparatus instead of staying with one activity. The camp includes aerial silks, trapeze, lyra, pole, tumbling, handstands, flexibility work, ground acrobatics, art projects, and creative play. Each day begins with a fast-paced warm-up that includes stretching and cardiovascular exercise before campers rotate in groups to practice basic skills on different apparatus.

The program runs in five-hour weekday blocks from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Camp weeks use different minimum-age rules, with some listed for ages 4+ and others for ages 7+. One week is reserved for Youth Competition Team members, so families should choose a camp week that matches the child’s eligibility and program status. The mix of apparatus practice and creative activities gives children several ways to participate throughout the day.

The studio setting combines athletic and creative work. Aerial Revolution operates a spacious, fully equipped aerial arts studio with inspected equipment, cushioned mats, spotting techniques, and experienced instructors. Its youth training emphasizes progressive skill development, proper technique, and supervised equipment use. Campers who enjoy active skill practice, rotating stations, circus apparatus, and breaks for art and imaginative play have the clearest fit for this format.

Program

Each camp day follows a studio-based circus format. Campers begin with a fast-paced warm-up that includes stretching and cardiovascular exercise. They then work in rotating groups, practicing basic skills on different apparatus. The camp includes aerial silks, trapeze, lyra, pole, tumbling, handstands, flexibility, and acrobatics as core parts of the experience, with several types of circus classes appearing across the day.

The program also makes room for art projects and creative play, giving the day a mix of structured physical practice and non-apparatus creative activity. Camp meets Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Camp weeks are not identical: some use a minimum age of 4+, others 7+, and one week is restricted to Youth Competition Team members. Families therefore need to follow the eligibility shown for the specific camp week they select.

Aerial Revolution’s wider youth program emphasizes progressive instruction, proper form, and supervised use of aerial equipment. Its youth classes also incorporate conditioning, flexibility, hand balancing, and creative movement as part of well-rounded aerial training. For camp, the day is organized around warm-up, rotating apparatus practice, circus classes, and creative activities within the five-hour schedule.

Staff

Aerial Revolution describes its coaching team as professional performers, athletes, and educators with real-world performance experience. Instructors provide expert coaching in a progressive training environment, and the youth program uses ongoing guidance as students build technique and skill proficiency. The broader youth curriculum progresses from beginner through advanced training, while camp places children in rotating groups for basic apparatus practice. The studio emphasizes proper form, safe progression, strength, technique, creativity, and performance skills across its youth instruction, with instructors guiding students as they work on apparatus.
