Frozen Ropes Camps puts baseball fundamentals at the center of the day for players ages 6–12. Campers work on hitting, fielding, catching, and throwing with staff or professional coaches, and players are organized into groups based on age and ability. The program follows a clear daily rhythm: mornings focus on hitting, while afternoons shift to defensive work. Full-day campers get time in both parts of the program, while half-day options let families choose a shorter block.
Practice is active and varied rather than limited to one drill. Campers can apply their skills in an indoor wiffle ball game, work alongside other young players, and take part in the camp’s baseball-card activity. The setting suits children who enjoy baseball and want repeated practice of core mechanics in a structured training environment. Frozen Ropes publishes camp options at both its 4S Ranch and Del Mar locations in San Diego.
Families can choose full-week or single-day camp formats when offered, with full-day and half-day options. Regular full-day hours run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Players bring their own bat, helmet, fielding glove, snacks, and water, plus lunch for a full day. Campers must be pre-registered, and optional early/after care can extend the day when arranged in advance.

The camp day is built around a simple two-part structure. Morning sessions concentrate on hitting, while afternoon sessions focus on defense. Within those blocks, players work on the fundamentals of hitting, fielding, catching, and throwing. Staff or professional coaches lead the instruction, and campers are organized into groups according to age and ability so practice can be managed at an appropriate level.
Families may choose a full-day format, a morning or afternoon half day, a full week, or a single day when those options are offered. A regular full day runs from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The mix of full-week and single-day choices lets families select the amount of camp time that fits their plans. The program also gives campers a chance to shift from skill work into a game setting through an indoor wiffle ball game. Baseball cards are part of the camp experience as an additional activity.
Players arrive with their own bat, helmet, and fielding glove, along with snacks and water; full-day campers also bring lunch. Pre-registration is required. Optional early/after care is available by advance registration for families that need a longer drop-off or pickup window.
Campers bring their own snacks and water. Full-day players also bring lunch.
Morning campers may enter beginning at 8:55 a.m., and regular afternoon pickup is due no later than 3:10 p.m. Families that need an earlier drop-off or later pickup can register for the separate early/after-care program in advance. That option allows drop-off from 8:30 a.m. and pickup as late as 5:00 p.m. Camp participation must be pre-registered.
Instruction is provided by camp staff or professional coaches. Campers are organized into groups based on age and ability while they work on the fundamentals of hitting, fielding, catching, and throwing. The published camp structure places coaches directly within the skills-based portions of the day, including the morning hitting focus and afternoon defensive work.
