Hands-on discovery drives the summer experience at Kids Korner Explorers Camps. Children in grades TK through 5 take part in a child-led, Reggio Emilia-inspired program built around exploration, collaboration, and project work. Summer programming combines sensory experiments, interactive science, art projects, and outdoor fun, giving campers room to investigate ideas instead of following a single fixed lesson path. Mixed-age group work and a strong social-emotional focus are part of the broader Kids Korner approach, with kindness, respect, problem solving, and community woven into the learning environment.
The camp’s published themes show two distinct ways children can explore. Art You Want Camp centers the creative side of the program, while The Enchanted Lab brings a science-focused theme to the same hands-on format. Across the program, children are encouraged to ask questions, create, test ideas, and work with others. The setting uses both indoor and outdoor space, and the program is intentionally unplugged rather than screen-centered. Hands-on, science-based teaching supports active investigation throughout the experience.
This format can suit children who enjoy science, art, sensory exploration, and learning by doing. It can also work well for campers who like collaborative projects, mixed-age interaction, and a shorter daytime camp schedule rather than a full-day or overnight format.

The summer camp program follows the same child-led, project-based philosophy used across Kids Korner Explorers. Instead of a rigid sequence of identical lessons, children investigate ideas through hands-on provocations, sensory work, science exploration, art, and shared projects. The broader enrichment approach is designed to encourage critical thinking, reflection, problem solving, and social-emotional growth, with mixed-age participation helping children learn alongside one another.
Published summer options use a three-day Tuesday-through-Thursday format from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Art You Want Camp provides an art-centered theme, while The Enchanted Lab uses a science-oriented theme. Summer sessions combine hands-on discovery, sensory experiments, outdoor fun, and interactive science and art projects. That combination gives children multiple ways to engage: they can create, observe, test, discuss, and collaborate rather than spend the session focused on one worksheet-style task.
The program also emphasizes an unplugged environment and a secure, supportive community. Kids Korner’s broader approach connects project work with social-emotional development, kindness, respect, and confidence-building through participation. The result is a compact day-camp structure centered on active exploration rather than passive instruction.
The learning environment centers on a safe, supportive community with social-emotional development built into the program. Summer camp information highlights patient, root-cause redirection as part of the behavioral approach rather than rigid discipline.
For illness, families are asked to keep children home when they have fever, diarrhea, or vomiting and to wait 24 hours after those symptoms have subsided before returning. When an illness requires antibiotics, families are asked to allow three days of treatment before the child returns.
Health guidance focuses on illness exclusion and return timing. Children with fever, diarrhea, or vomiting should remain home until 24 hours after symptoms have subsided. When an illness requires antibiotics, families are asked to allow three days of treatment before the child returns.
