Players spend the day learning baseball through a mix of coached fundamentals, position work, game situations, and afternoon scrimmages. The main Youth Baseball Camp welcomes ages 6–14 and groups players by age and ability, so beginners can build a foundation while more experienced players continue refining their game. Training covers the core skills of pitching, catching, hitting, fielding, throwing, and base running, with speed and agility work woven into the program.
The camp day runs at Memorial Park and follows a clear rhythm: check-in and warm-ups, focused instructional blocks, snack and hydration breaks, lunch, more skill work, then a scrimmage before pickup. Coaches use individual and group instruction, and the summer program also describes one-on-one attention within a group setting to help identify areas that need work.
Families can also choose specialized summer options. The Elite Camp is designed for advanced players and adds detailed work on footwork, ground balls, fly balls, bunt coverage, rundowns, situational play, and other higher-level techniques. The Hit Factory Camp focuses on swing mechanics and repetition with supervised stations, batting cages, tee work, soft toss, and hitting machines. Across the summer camps, the emphasis stays on sound mechanics, active practice, and using learned skills in game-like situations.

The main Youth Baseball Camp follows a full-day instructional format from morning check-in through afternoon pickup. Players begin with warm-ups, then move into coached training blocks built around baseball fundamentals. Instruction changes by focus area and can include infield and outfield work, throwing, pitching, hitting, catching, and base running. After lunch, players review and apply the day’s work before an afternoon scrimmage. The camp closes with a short cool-down and coach review while players wait for pickup.
SMBA groups players by age and ability, and its summer program describes both group teaching and individual attention. The goal is to give each player work that matches current development while keeping the fundamentals central. The Youth Camp is designed for all levels, while the Elite Camp is for advanced players preparing for more competitive baseball. Elite instruction adds footwork, backhands, double plays, bunt coverage, rundowns, fly balls, ground balls, and situational decisions.
The Hit Factory Camp uses a four-day hitting format with specialized instruction, supervised stations, and repeated practice. Players work with batting cages, hitting machines, tee work, soft toss, and eye-hand drills while developing grip, stance, balance, stride, swing mechanics, power, pitch recognition, and plate-zone awareness. Some half-day programs may be extended into the afternoon when that option is offered.

Lunch is not described as automatically included with camp. SMBA offers an optional Subway lunch delivery program, with orders taken at camp check-in and lunch delivered around noon. The youth-camp schedule also includes a morning snack and hydration break. Players are repeatedly instructed to bring water and sunscreen, and specialized camp information tells participants to bring snacks and, when needed, their own lunch. Summer camp pages also mention a Friday ice-cream tradition. Families should plan food for the day unless they choose an available lunch-order option.
SMBA states that its coaches go through Department of Justice and FBI background checks and are certified by the organization before coaching participants. The program also groups players by age and ability for instruction. During the camp day, the published schedule includes a snack and hydration break, and camp instructions repeatedly tell players to bring water and sunscreen. Baseball attire, hats, and cleats are expected, while specialized camp guidance tells players to bring their own gloves, bats, and catcher’s gear when applicable. These are the specific supervision, screening, and activity-preparation measures published by the program.
SMBA describes its coaching staff as people with playing and coaching backgrounds that include professional, college, and high-school baseball. The summer camp page profiles coaches with Division I college playing experience, travel-ball coaching, pitching, middle-infield, and hitting expertise. The organization also states that its Athletic Director is a certified USA Baseball coach and that SMBA is a member of the American Baseball Coaches Association. Coaches are assigned to instructional groups and work with players on both fundamentals and position-specific development.
SMBA says its athletic directors, coaches, and team leaders support players and parents throughout the program. Families can contact the organization with questions about camps and baseball programs through its public contact channels. Camp pages also provide registration links, daily timing, what-to-bring instructions, lunch-order details, and program-specific information so parents can review practical requirements before attendance.
The main Youth Baseball Camp runs at Memorial Park with 9:00 AM check-in and 3:00 PM pickup. Players should arrive in baseball attire with a hat and cleats and bring sunscreen and water. Specialized camp guidance also asks players to bring their own glove and bat, while catchers should bring catcher’s gear. Snacks and drinks should be packed for the day, and an optional Subway lunch can be ordered when offered. Elite and Hit Factory programs normally end at noon; summer information describes an optional extension to 3:00 PM, with afternoon scrimmaging available after lunch.
